Care For China
“In partnership with people in China”
The four needs
Child Care

Every year in China an estimated 1 million babies are abandoned and most are taken to Welfare Centres. Most of teh babies in our care have specific health issues.
Caring for China’s Children works in conjunction with some welfare centres to provide excellent love and care for babies until they are adopted.
Health Care

Many people in China and especially poor children have very limited access to essential health services.
Health For China is committed to health care for our own babies and reaching to the wider community through various initiatives of research and promotion.
Teachers & Students for China

The need for Chinese speaking people to learn the English language which is the dominant academic, political and trade language of our times provides an opening into China for teachers and leads to sharing of Christian faith and values.
Social Welfare
China has a major problem with drug addiction.
Although the Government provides detox centres and other help, most addicts exit from programmes and revert to substance abuse.
The community welfare programme provides a friendly environment at a drop in centre where adicts can feel welcomed and accepted, receive counselling and help to change. Presentations are given in schools, government detoxification centres and other places in the community. Counselling and group support to family members of addicts is provided.
Opportunities that exist
Opportunities exist for promotion and support in Australia and short and long term involvement in China.
